It's Only The Beginning!

Welcome to my website. I hope you’ll enjoy spending some time with me exploring the fiber world and some of my other loves. My main love is knitting and on all of my adventures I bring knitting with me. If I’m traveling, I always check to see where I can find local yarn shops and will give you a review and possibly an inside look at what the shop has to offer. I’ll also blog about shearing, spinning, dying, weaving, designing, making and the great online shops I’ve discovered. I’ll also have guest to contribute to my blog.


I’ve thought long and hard about starting a blog and decided this was the right time. Over the past year my life has changed as many of your lives have too, I’m sure. I’m no longer able to travel as freely as I did before the Pandemic. I had to shift my lifestyle and with that shift came the discovery of so many internet tools. Zoom became a real friend along with Instagram, Twitch, Patreon and Club House.


I began doing workshops on the mental, physical and spiritual benefits of knitting and taught the basic knitting stitches after the sessions. Sadly this came to a halt because of the pandemic. I had to shift the way I presented this workshop. Fortunately through the magic of Zoom and a friend, Laverne Benton owner of @BZYPeach a fabulous Pima Cotton Dyer, I was able to hold my first workshop to discuss this topic on Zoom and it was well received. Yes, this year has been a year of change but so much of the change was positive. I’ve met so many amazing women and men in the fiber world through the magic of the internet. I’m sure this wouldn’t have happened if not for the pandemic. I will spotlight people who are doing awesome work in the many different areas of the fiber world.


I chose Knit_Purl_Inspire and more, because there is more to me than just knitting and fiber. I quilt, travel, take photographs and go deep-sea fishing. I will share these other facets of my life and hope you’ll enjoy it. I’ve learned so much and still have so much more to learn and I hope you’ll be a part of this journey.


I have a close-knit group of fiber friends who support, encourage and are great for bouncing ideas off of. I want to thank my Saturday Zoom Ladies for your support. Thank you to my son Scott for connecting me with my website designer. Yolanda for the logo design and the hidden secret in the design. Can you guess what it is? My daughter Stacey who knew I needed a stand for my phone instead of standing it up against a candle for my first Instagram live.
